Peer Review Policy
Journal of Multidisciplinary Research for SMET (JMR–SMET) follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scholarly integrity of all submissions.
Type of Peer Review
All manuscripts submitted to JMR–SMET undergo the following review process:
-
Editorial Review: An initial screening by the editorial team to assess scope, formatting, and basic scientific quality.
-
Double-Blind Peer Review: The identities of both the reviewers and authors are concealed throughout the review process. Reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and vice versa.
Reviewer Selection
Reviewers are selected based on their subject expertise and academic credentials. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. In case of significant disagreement between reviewers, a third reviewer or an editorial board member may be consulted.
Review Timeline
The peer review process typically takes 2 to 4 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.
Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:
-
Originality and significance of the contribution
-
Rigor and appropriateness of methodology
-
Clarity and organization of the content
-
Validity of results and conclusions
-
Relevance to the journal’s scope
Decision Outcomes
Based on the reviewer reports, the Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor makes one of the following decisions:
-
Accept without revisions
-
Accept with minor revisions
-
Revise and resubmit (major revisions required)
-
Reject
Authors are notified of the decision with constructive feedback. All review reports remain confidential.
