Digital Preservation Policy
The Journal of Multidisciplinary Research for SMET (JMR–SMET) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. To achieve this, we use the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which is integrated with our Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
Through PKP PN, all articles published in our journal are securely archived using a decentralized and redundant preservation system based on the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) technology. This system ensures that scholarly content remains permanently available, even in the event of data loss, system failure, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Our preservation strategy includes:
-
Regular backups of published content
-
Metadata harvesting for discovery and citation
-
Participation in trusted digital preservation networks
